Today, I went to John Muir Historic Park. We went to watch a video about his life, and we even bought a book! Then we went to see where he used to live. It was built in the 1880s. Up in the attic, there was a big bell that you could ring! In his office, there were some rocks lying around. Later, the ranger told me that it was bread! After that, I took a pledge to be a junior park ranger. One of the rangers even gave me a hat to wear while I said the pledge! We bought two of his books, "Stickeen" and "The Wild Muir". They are very interesting! He had many adventures, like riding an avalanche and scaling mountains.
